Help with my fret board.

i bought and rg4t recently and when i first played it the fretboard was really shiny. the rosewood pretty much reflected my hands. but now about a month l8er its gotten really dull, the shine has gone but everything else is normal i can tell its because of playing coz some parts still shine. was the shine some sort of wax? im guessing i can just buy it if it is

It was probably some type of finish/protectant. Although i have never heard of shiny rosewood i am sure your local music store can get you some stuff to make rosewood shiny. I prefer an oil based protectant/moisterizer on mine. Something like Gerlitz Guitar Honey or Stew Mac's Rosewood Protectant. While they will not make it shiny it will deep penetrate and condition the wood which is important since rosewood is very pourous. So if you can live without shine then a good protectant is what you want.

i dunno what y i said normal lol. nah its defienetly rosewood. he now that ive looked more closely the lighter parts r still shiny it not like ultra shiny but it shines in a good light.... my other rosewood necked guitar dont do this =) thanx for ur help
