hey Rich? can ya put an edge ZR on a Xiphos?

ok man the ZR Trem seems like a dream to me kinda like a Floyd/Kahler

Has anyone else though of this as a replacement bridge for the edge3 (which btw doesn’t suck as bad as everyone is saying but I am not going to have it on there very long)
The OFR I could do myself but I am wondering if anyone else has pondered this combo
I am sure there will need some routing
any estimates on the cost

a ZR? Why? If you're going to replace a trem, why would you replace it with a ZR.

The ZR is a very good trem. It's very smooth, and pivots on ball-bearings, so there's no wear on any knife edges to worry about.

The mods are so extensive to use the complete system that you might as well build the guitar from scratch. But anything is possible with enough money or tallent.

uhm.. drop in an EDGE PRO if you will. it will only need a bit of routing nothing more.
you may have scale length (and therefore intonation) problems with other trems (because of the breaking point). besides, edge pro is in many aspects better than original floyd.
don't complicate things if you don't have to

hmm good point everyone leads me to believe these OFR's drop right in but i didn't think about where the saddles sit
