hiya, just got my s470dx
yeah juz got it s470dxqm. anyone has a link to how to tune a zr bridge? it seems to be amazing simple, i juz pt in the string and tighten the allen key? wat the screw area for? (the one u can tighten with yr thumb), at 1st i didnt bother about tat and guess wat, i did afew whammy, and all 6 strings came off argh. and how do i adjust the action? adjust before i tune? or after i tune? i tried to adjust the action before tuning, and after tunning the action somehow become super high, and the bridge seems to be moving high as i tune, is tat common?

(it didnt break, it juz came off). i already tighten the allen key, which steps am i missing? and whats the nut thingy tat u can tighten it with yr finger? do i need to adjust that?

Re: hiya, just got my s470dx
i found out waht my problem. i change my strings to 0.12 and the bridge is probably facing up instead of flat, my bad
didnt know about that until i read every single thing in rich website. and the thumb thingy is for fine tunings. hopefully i didnt do any much damage to the neck. and one thing,
floyd rose
seems amazing simple! i always tot the string at the bridge is secured by 2 ??? (whats that called? the one u tighten witht he allen key?) and the part u insert in the saddles is like so short

Re: hiya, just got my s470dx
Oh man! that does not look good. Did you tighten the
truss rod
? A LOT?
From reading your posts I would say leave the setup to a qualified
guitar tech
.

I'd fix it. You dont want to snap that neck.

Re: hiya, just got my s470dx
Man dont u knwo the more caliber the more tension what were u thinking u should work with the screws in the
tremolo cavity
if u want to change gauges and what the heck would you want to anyway a FR guitar is for shredding not for playing rythm 0.12 are for rythm and fixed bridges. Me personaly wopuldn put anything above 0.10 on a FR guitar. I bet u ****ted ur pants I share ur pain I guess this is the kind of lesson when ur mom says dont touch that cause is hot you're gonna burn then u touch it and u say what was I thinking damnnnn!!!
