Ive got 1. Im a fifteen year old kid living on my parents' measly allowance, which only allows for my RG470 (the newer japanese ones) with a
duncan distortion
. hopefully, after some saving up, ill be able to put in other duncans, and also an OFR, if not, an edge.

My Ibanezes
Sadly, I have only one Ibanez. An RG570 in Grey Nickel, with a
Dimarzio Tone Zone
in the Bridge, and a Blocked Edge. (Rhythm Work, gotta beef up the Picking Hand) I want a bunch more
, but until then, I'll settle for my poor man's JEM.

Hmm, I'm sort of reluctant to post in this thread because it's a bit embarassing. Why? Two reasons. First, I have too many guitars, and second there's not a JEM, JPM, Universe, or true collector's guitar among them. I expect that the aficionados of the signature models will scoff at this collection. Over the last 6 months, I've been checking out a bunch of mid-range Ibanez to find the one(s) that really suited my playing style. I wanted to wait to liquidate the leftovers till the end. Now I'm close to selling off all but about 5-6 of these. You'd probably be surprised at which ones I plan on keeping (hint: not necessarily the more expensive ones). But anyway, here's the list:
Sabers and the like:
Ibanez S540 Saber (89: purple/red)
Ibanez S540 Saber (87, LR: lipstick red)
Ibanez S540 Saber (JM: Jade Metallic;
maple neck
)
Ibanez S540FM Saber (CW: Cherry Wine)
Ibanez S540QS (TK: Trans Black)
Ibanez S540LTD (EG: Emerald Green)
Ibanez 540SCT6 (BS: Black Sunburst)
Ibanez 540SCT6 (Cherry Sunburst)
Ibanez S2540 NT (NT: natural transparent)
Ibanez S470FM (TT: trans turq)
Ibanez SV470 (OLS: nat. stained oil)
Ibanez SV420 FM (BT: butterscotch trans)
Ibanez 430SII (black)
Ibanez SA420X (DR: deep red)
Ibanez SA160QM (
quilted maple
, amber)
Ibanez SA160QM(grey quilt)
Radius/JS series:
Ibanez 442R (cherry sunburst)
Ibanez 542R (CA: Candy Apple)
Ibanez 540R (JB: Jewel Blue, sort of a reverse burst)
Ibanez 540R (Pearl: a bluish grn. met)
Ibanez JS700 (TR: trans red; currently being stripped)
Ibanez JS1000 (WH: white)
Ibanez RV470 (GFP: gravure purple)
RG, RX, and RT series:
Ibanez RG-570 (nickel grey or pewter, or ...)
Ibanez RT650 (GFR: gravure red)
Ibanez RT650 (GFB: gravure blue)
Ibanez RX750 (natural PM: padauk mahog.)
Ibanez BL1025 Blazer (CG: cayman green)
Ibanez BL1025 Blazer (VB: vintage burst)
OK, that's it. The only real high end guitars here are the S2540NT and the JS1000, and neither of those is among my favorites. The weird thing is that I object (in principle) to the idea of collecting and hoarding. That's why a bunch of 'em gotta go. Especially the duplicates (like one of the RT650s, and the multiple S540s). But you know what, there is HUGE variation within the same model. Shut your eyes, plug in, and you'd have no idea you were playing the same model guitar. You can tweak the setup all day, and not force them to play the same. So I acquired multiples of some models so that I could choose the individual one that I liked best.
Man, I'm sitting here wondering if I should actually post this. Feels sort of like a confessional. Even my band mates don't know about this pile. Oh well, time to hit the button...

OMG!
Personally I'm a one guitar kinda guy. I find a sound and stick with it. That list is so cool though!! How on earth do you decide which guitar to pick up and play?
I bet your guitar room is like the scene from Spinal Tap where Marti is checking out Nigel Tuffnel's collection.
"You can go and have a bite and........
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......... you'll still be hearing that one."

Here's Mine
'99 RG-570
'99 RG-7620
and...
A heavily modded GRX40, some may say it's not worth it but it was my first project and I think it came out great(much better than the standard black). The metallic blue looks really nice and the raw neck plays better than I ever thought it could. Plus you need a non-floyd guitar sometimes(When? I don't know).
Had a fourth at one time. An older model RG-550 that I turned into a JEM7DY. Sold it when I didn't play it and decided it just didn't feel like my 570(This guitar is kind like
my
EVO, nothing feels quite the same, I always go back to this one)
I'll stop rambling now
