How to get trem bar to stay in place?
how can i keep my trem bar on my RG570 with an edge to stay in 1 spot, it keeps sliding down and when i try to get it back up i always hit the volume knob. Is there a way to secure it in place?

Wrap something like sticky tape around it.
What's wrong with using nail polish? It works well!

Re: How to get trem bar to stay in place?
you put it under the nylon washers not on top of them, so jeah, you will still be able to remove the trembar, yet it might be a bit harder then before (that's actually what you wanted)

Re: How to get trem bar to stay in place?
I've found that nail polish (my wife's by the way!!!) doesn't last very long
PTFE tape works ok, but new bushes or tightening the nut from inside the trem cavity is best.
As usual for any tech issues check out ibanezrules.com !!!!!!!!!!

Re: How to get trem bar to stay in place?
i'm using nail polish and it works best for me...
so far in 2 years i put on 2 coats... this way i save money and get the same results without any mod or tightening the nut .....

Re: How to get trem bar to stay in place?
Nail polish wears off. There's another trick that I use: If you have any ziploc bags or D'Addario string pouches, cut a circle about the size of a quarter. Pull the bar out. Center the plastic over the bar holder and insert the bar into the plastic. It goes in tough, but it won't go anywhere.

Re: How to get trem bar to stay in place?
Nail polish was OK with me but lately I do what rory does. I cut out circles from plastic grocery bags (really thin ones) & lay that over the trem bar hole before the trem is in, then push the bar into the hole along with the plastic. It pretty much works only one time because it shreds the plastic up. So I just make a bunch of these little plastic circles at once.
