How to 'lock' your tremolo arm (Edge Pro)

Hi there,

This is my first post here. Since a few days I am the proud owner of a brand new MRR RG1570, the cheapest of the RG Prestige series. Anywho, it comes with an Edge Pro, and I see tremolo like this all the time but with the tremolo arm kinda locked in a horizontal position. But my one keeps dangling down. How do I lock it so it wont dangle down automatically? I already tried changing the teflon bits, but that didn't help much.

most trem arms are screw in, edge pro arm is snap in, after the washers are worn it will keep going down, the most you can do is t use some teflon tape around the base of the bar.

Re: How to 'lock' your tremolo arm (Edge Pro)

easy fix.... take off teflon washers and wrap a small piece of paper in the gap
, put washers back on , insert trem arm...bob`s yer uncle !!

also you can steal your sis, mom , daughter , wife`s nail polish and apply multiple coats to the space for your bushes .. once dry refit bushes and off you go.. it`s a good idea to leave the arm in the socket as much as poss as constant removal/refitting wears the bushes down very quickly

hope this helps !

another way is to take off the white washers, use clear nail polish to thicken the area then when dry put the washers back on and that should stop it from swinging to much...
