how to replace a barrel jack


anyone have a step by step guide on this as my bassist's ibanez bass's barrel jack is shot and i need to replace it asap. what do i need and how do i do it?

You need a soldering iron, solder and a new jack, look at the old one before you take it out and solder the new one in the same way.

I have finally achieved something if i got a joke in before you my good friend There has been many times where you have took the words right out of my mouth. I'm a bit slower in my old age

Anyway, if the question is actually about how to get the damn thing off the body, i only have experience with guitars, so, assuming Ibanez basses are the same, just push gently from the inside of the cavity, the f*cker is tight, but it will come out eventually
