Anyone knows if a wood pickguard can be made easily? or if it already exists?
I mean, wouldnt be that pretty cool?, some kind of "bright" (ran out of words, my english sucks) natural mahogany body ,lets say: http://www.ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=RGA121 with a dark mahogany pickguard, lets say this kind of color http://www.ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=RG321MH
I would definitely buy that, and maybe, just maybe would help the ressonance a little bit?

Oh, the dark body and the "bright" pickguard would be even cooler now that i think about it.

My custom RT has a figured cocobolo pickguard. It looks pretty cool but its kind of fragile so you have to be carefull when you handle it. You need a strong wood, and you need to aply several layers of clearcoat to it. A bocote pickguard will look very good on a black body, figured woods look better on a natural or transulcent finish.

My guitar will be finished tomorrow so next week I will post pics.
