Ibanez 2340 Custom - Ibanez Support is aweful

I am trying to get some specs on this guitar from Ibanez with little luck, actually, none at all. *This is a custom guitar with DiMarzio pickups in it. *I am trying to get papers on this guitar to prove whether or not they were installed at the factory. * Any insight here?

The original pickups in your 2340 are generic Super 58-type (or equivalent) *or a PAF-looking pickup. *DiMarzio's did NOT come with the guitar. *

VintageIbanez.com has wiring diagrams and basic specs on all that stuff.

These are DiMarzio pickups, they say so on the back of them. The neck pickup is a PAF, and the bridge is a Super Distortion or Super 2. *They do say DiMarzio on them.

The originals were replaced sometime in the guitars life. Those are replacements, not original pickups.

Thanks a lot guys. *I really love this guitar and I'd like to find out how much it's worth. *I'll let you all know what I find out about it. *To me, it's a better guitar than any Les Paul as far as playing and sound.

The bolt on LP copies generally sell under $500. Only the custom agents with all the abolone inlay work bring what any ordinary Gibson LP will.

Bad news. *I just found out Ibanez's records only go back to 1978, which excludes my guitar. *I did find out that Ibanez would put in pickups for a dealer upon request. *From the looks of the switch in my guitar, that's what happened. *You can tell if something has been removed and then another has been soldered back in. *I am saying they are factory installed, but I have no proof, nor will I ever.
