ibanez 540 with backstop

should i buy this guitar for 400 dollars. the condition is ok but the backstop device is unplayed, never used mint condition. i know that the price is high but what the heck it is hard to find the ibanez backstop. any advice please

it depends on the guitar conditions and if it's all original (pickups, finish etc). if they're good then the price is ok, especially if it's a Radius or a Power.

no it is not on original condition. it comes with an emg pickup in bridge position.

I always figure that a backstop adds $100 to the value of the guitar it's on. So, what you have to ask yourself is if the guitar itself is worth $300. If you're just buying it to get the backstop, I'd pass. Especially if the guitar's condition is rough. You'd be better off just paying $125 for a backstop alone. --Jason

Heck, I only paid $250 for my '87 540p,
awsome guitar!!!! It was a 8 out of 10 when I got it...
