Ibanez E-Gen - Herman Li Signature

Well I saw this listed in his equipment on the Dragonforce website, and he is playing it on tour. So he is not trying to hide it. So I googled for some pics.

Note the grip on the upper horn and the scalloped last few frets. It's almost like
an S and a Jem offspring. I'm trying to figure out what trem that is. It looks
like it could be an Edge-Zero.

Very nice indeed, I could probably share a house with it. Interesting grip - looks like it was used to fend off a pitbull. Trem does look like an Edge Zero, neck basically Jem.

Guess I'm not going to live up to my New Year's resolution not to buy any guitars in 2008.

I hope not. That would definitely ruin an otherwise badass guitar.

I really like that sharkbite or whatever on the upper horn.

WOW!

I think I may have to start saving for one of these!

Also, don't know if anyone has noticed but don't those inlays look a bit like mini pyramids.

Or am I just retarded?

Introducing the new SHARK GRIP, monkey grip for S guitars . There's scallops like the jems too. I kinda like it.

Re: Ibanez E-Gen - Herman Li Signature

I think it's a very interesting design with regards to the "grip" - I mean most folks seem to use the top horn as a handle (assuming the guitar doesn't already have one ) so why not?

Still I don't foresee it taking off as wildly as the JEM did - historically the S shaped guitar has always been for folks who liked a more traditional looking instrument, - this may be too radical for all bar Herman's biggest fans

I wish him well and hope it sells loads though if it does make it to a production signature model
