ibanez mod315 classical guitar 19674-

hi folks, I have just bought a classical ibanez guitar mod no 315, made in japan serial 19674-......does that mean 1967(april?). Its a nice sounding guitar, especially since I've cleaned it up. it was thilthy and well used. Solid top, I'm not sure about what woods it has as I've never taken any notice of quality of build before. I would like some history.
What do you think?

Tough to say. I'd try asking on ibanezcollectors.com, as they'd likely be more familiar with an older Ibanez classical. I looked over there for some info on your guitar, but didn't find any. Did you check harmony central?

I'm struggling to register on ibanezcollectors.com(waiting for a relply to email) and no luck yet on harmony central. so while I wait for someone helpfull like yourself who understands the serial nos etc, I'll just have to enjoy playing it (fairly badly at the moment).
