Tell her to visit Angelo Guitars. I believe they are there. You can check with Rommel for the details:

Yes, please elaborate...

What's the "truth about it"?

Are they made of plywood? Expensive? Bad quality?

Ya'll don't know who Tommy Angelo is? He is a major guitar designer and manufacturer.

I'd like for JimmyW's sister to go visit them and then come back and tell us what she finds out.

But you all should email Rommel and see what they can do for you. He is the main contact for Angelo guitars.

Elaborate? Click on the link I posted above... Click on the About Us link... Look at the 2nd sentence in the third paragraph... Now go all the way to the bottom of the page and read the line with the Three Astricks (***)...

???

Hey JimmyW, did your sister ever get to check out any factories? I was hoping for some pics and details. Nobody got my riddle but what I was trying to say is I don't think some of those guitars are "knock offs."

For more info on Tommy check a review here:
http://www.geocities.com/guitplyr12001/reviews.html

and some links to his own videos here:
http://www.vdoguitarhero.com/

http://www.guitar9.com/guitarmusic9/atributelive.html

I also downloaded a video of Tommy in the style of Vai that Doug Marks had on his website since he sells the video series and it can be downloaded here:
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jchrisf/t_angelo.wmv

The guy not only makes great guitars but is a great player too.

this might actually surprise you but a lot more Korean Ibanez models are avalible in the US than Korea. it goes for many other companies as well like epiphone and dearmond..etc..

It has something to do with the laws and contacts etc..

I'm in korea.. by the way..

anyways the only korean made ibanez guitars I've seen so far here are the knock off white Jems with teh floral in lay up to the 12th fret, and the basic rg models.. oh yeah and the PGM... that's it.. everything else is japan made.. hell they only ship it like 100 miles across...

so I'm actually wondering what is the big thing there on Korean made Ibanez guitars.. I personally don't like any guitar made in Korea unless if it's a Cort..
