Ibanez Paul Gilbert - the blue one with pink f holes

I was just wondering what model this was, my freind has one which he got form a little guitar store in the uk (it has a trem, edge) and *it must be at least 5 years old, are these very rare because i would like to get my hands on one.

Cheers

PGM100- Original Gilbert Signature model. * Cool axes! *They're not terribly common. *I had one and sold it about 9 months ago. * The pink F-holes were a bit much for me * * I THINK that they were made around '91 or so, but I could be mistaken.

Also, I believe that the cheaper, Korean-made PGM30 is also available in Europe & Japan in the same color scheme.

The Blue and Pink Paul Gilbert is the original PGM 100

They weren't full production guitars, so they're uncomon if not rare. They were stopped in 92/93 so it's likely to be 10 years old. They're out there but they don't crop up too often. They're basically just an RG770 with Pink DiMarzios and the cool if odd graphics

cool cheers for the replies, i am quite tempeted to respray an rg with the paul gilbert f holes but how would you do the headstock, on the pgm 100 its a blue headstock with pink ibanez logo. Whearas the rg headstocks are mostly black with white logo.

It can also be a PGM30

Although the PGM30 available only in White & black in the US, it is also availabe in the color of Blue & pink in Japan.

If it has Original Neck Joint -> PGM100
ANNJ -> PGM30

The only problem you might have with taking this route is the positioning of the knobs etc. In the PGM models the single volume knob and selector switch is "hidden" in the F hole graphic. As a result they are positioned completely differently to a standard RG.
