Ibanez RG

I am new to this site and i was just wondering about the Ibanez RG. Is that a nice guitar and not too expansive?

They're good guitars. Not too wide, either. I can think of much more expansive guitars.

If you want a whammy, go for a RG5xx / 15xx and above. You should be able to find a used white 550 for, um, 400 bucks (maximum).

Also, you may want to check out the ibanez catalogues (the ones after 198 at http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/ to get a good overview of the whole RG line.

Cheers!

I wonder if no one got/noticed my joke, or if they're simply too polite to comment?

LOL, you know I missed that one . . .

I learned years ago when reading something quickly to only look at the first 2 or 3 letters of a word, you can usually figure out what you're reading by just looking at the first few letters and the context of the sentence fills in the rest for you, this makes reading MUCH faster, but it also means you miss typos like that. :-)

Since it's assumed he's thinking about buying a guitar, and I really only looked at the 'exp' in the word 'expansive' I actually saw it as 'expensive'.

Maybe I should slow down . . .

lol, nah I was quick to notice that one for a change.
I would also recomend going to http://www.ibanezregister.com
If you go to the "gallery" section they have images and info on practically every Ibanez guitar ever made. Some of the guys on here have their guitars on there too. That will give you a selection and some more insight.

Do a bit of searching and scouring on here too. It just takes a little bit of reading-up and gaining some insight. Just remember.....dont take what someone says to you as gospel, its just peoples opinions! Go out to your local store and try a few guitars and see what suits ya best!
