Ibanez RG 550

Hey guys ill be getting one on monday and ive heard many good things about them. The one i want is going for $630 tax included and comes with gig bag.
Also the neck is really nice its fast and its got a rough feel to it,has a floyd rose and those ibz pickups,i couldnt catch the name well since the letters were faded. Its got a little bit of wear nothing to be really concerned about.

Does this sound like a good deal??

it depends what year it is. that aside though, i would highly recommend an rg550. i got one about a month ago(maple neck) and just bought another rg. i just love the maple.

$630 seems extremely high to me. Where are you located at? For that kind of money it should have Dimarzios, hardshell case, and be 100% mint. Even then, if you're in the States anyway, that's too high. --Jason

Im located in Toronto in canada. On monday ill go to the store and tell them that its too high. I also thought it was too much but the moron in the store wouldnt even care to bargain let alone look at me, they have great service but this one guy is just a jerk looking to make a quick sale and some easy money

well tomorrow is the day and im gonna bargain with them and if i cant get it below 500 then ill just find another place that holds rg's.

I was just getting ready to ask him that too. Even if that $630 is Canadian, that's still WAY too high. I'd say for a stock, average condition RG550 with gig bag, $275-$300 (US funds) is closer to what a fair price should be. --Jason

This is downtown Toronto and yeah i calculated that 550$ plus tax would come to around $633 CAD. I definetly need to talk to the guy whos selling it because its in consignment and the store wont give me a lower price unless the owner tells them to.

I just bought a 1998 in good to mint shape for 287 shipped.. That's without a gig bag or anything, but it's all black with an edge trem maple neck, etc..
I hope that was a good price? It's a RG550BK

i got a 1992 in fantastic condition rg570 for 297 shipped with a hardshell case, locking strap, extra strings, original booklet, whammy bar, all the tools and picks -_-. i was pretty happy with that buy

My guess is that you found this at Songb**d. Depending on the neck that's on it, it may or may not be worth the money. I'd only buy it if it had the old 17mm wizard neck, but it's your call.

ok well guys i bought an rg770 instead for 575. sounds pretty good and the neck is pretty fast too.Hahah yeah man i found it at song bird!!. what did you think of it??. Its that blue one

Congrats on the new guitar!! It's been a while since I went by songb**d, will have to go by there sometime to see if there's anything good there right now.
