Re: Ibanez RG 770's and 750's information needed

I currentlyhave 6 different 750-760-770s their necks are the best Ibanez neck in my opinion. They have the large frets like the 550s but the profile is a little different and the necks are bound, as with the 5-6 and 700 series the bodies are usually basswood and some ring out really good and others not as much. The 770 dx that came out 92-93 has a maple neck also bound with body colored inlays, a little thicker profile, I have had 2 of these... neat guitars but i still prefer the 770 and 750 with Tone Zone and Norton pickups, hands down the best guitars I have ever played. as for years and availability the synapsis given by Jason is quick and correct....

"The RG7xx series were available from 89-93. The 770DX came out in 91. The pickups (IBZ/USA) were ring mounted until 92 when the 760, 770, and 770DX went to direct mount. The 750's always had pickguard mounted pickups. Like Frank said, they all had jumbo frets and basswood bodies. --Jason"

You should be able to find a good example from $400-500 and with a TZ or JB in the bridge be quite happy...and thats what all of us males here at jemsite want... a Happy Amy
