Ibanez RG570 Fretwire

Anyone know the size of the wire. I need to to a fret job and I want to get the exact size. Dunlop 6100 is .110 by .55. Thanks for the help.

The tech/luthier you get to do the refret should be able to match it.

I am going to try to refret it myself. I like the original size of the frets but if I cannot figure it out I will replace it with 6100.

jumbo I believe, 2.8 x 1.3mm
6100 is only a little bigger at 2.8 x 1.4mm
very nice fretwire.

Cool, hope it goes well. Have you done anything like that before? Its not as easy as it seems, I fretted my RG build myself and it didnt turn out that good. I fixed it, but I'm still not that happy with the frets.

Thanks. My Warmoth neck with 6100 frets seems to be the same width but a little taller than the frets on my Rg570.

No, I have not had the experience of refretting a guitar. I am a good mechanic and I am good with wood so I hope to not have too many problems. If I do, I have a buddy that is a pro and I will take it to him for assistance.
