Question

Ibanez RGR 321EX, Ibanez MTM 2 or Ibanez ADC 120 ??

I am looking for a axe with fixed Bridge for c-drop tunings with fat metal sound. Which one of these three axes are good ? I would appreciate every information on these axes (Pubs, Sound, Handling etc.). The RGR looks similar to the MTM but is a little cheaper. Has anyone played one of these

Thanx

If it's anything like the RG321, get the RGR321EX, then you won't have to worry about messing around cutting off ball-ends like you would with MTM models. Those FX Edge bridges I really can't understand. I have no tuning stability problems with regular hardtail bridges. Dunno about the Ibanez ADC though. But with the RGR321EX there's a good mix of the superstrat style feel and the simplicity and sustain of the fixed bridge. Plus the Designed by EMG pickups aren't that bad, the one time I tried an Ibanez with them in.

Yes, the RGR 321 looks very pretty and is the only with an uncoated neck, but has only dot inlays. Can i get this fat dark c-drop sound with it ?

The MTM would give fatter and darker sound since it has mahogany instead. However, tone is still preference.

Given the choice, i'd hit the MTM2 coz of the painted neck and EdgeFX

That MTM is interesting, and a pretty good price - I'd give it a shot on that alone. Ifthat's what I was looking for anyway.

Ibanez really made a good choice - there are a lot of RG hard tail/fixed bridges in the line up these days.
