Not sure.... gotta remember the wizards started with the old heel joint which had more mass (ie. fretboard overlapped the body for 24 fret guitars).

If you post that 100x it still is not accurate.

Re: Ibanez screws it’s S buyers over again..

You guys make it sound like you can't get a wizard I.

You can, they put them on Brand NEW RG's. Sure, it's not the same spec and design as the original. But it's alot better than the pile of poo that is bolted to the S guitar currently.

What's wrong with wanting that?????

I think that is what WAS trying to be said here. And that's how Ibanez is screwing the S buyer, that's all.

Well that, and the hit and miss Korean QC.

There's nothing wrong with wanting the profile to be cut by Cort, I want a blowjob from Angelina Jolie, we all want things, at least you have a better chance than I do!

S's have always been sluggish sellers, period.

Ibanez started touting their use of 1/4 sawn maple in 1993, talk about the next 10 years of junk wood. Discuss it with Glen, he seems like he's in the mood

Re: Ibanez screws it’s S buyers over again..

nothings wrong with wanting, i'm telling you why it's not a priority. if they consider locking studs (inserts) to be a customer support problem so imagine a cheaply made wizard neck on an S body. it's also possible that "feedback" they've gathered was that target demographic customers preferred the wizard-II, as opposed to the RG.

bottom line is it could be many things, you'll never get a straight answer, and it's probably not much of a priority ...glen

Who cares if it's badged Prestige, it's made by Cort and is in no way Prestige quality.

I don't care what your reply is, I'm not wasting any more time.
Might want to check out the Neil Zaza model at NAMM this year .

Compared to the RG yes. But they sold a TON of them. Besides this is irrelevent. That also isn't why we don't get wizards.

And as far as I knew Ibanez had problems with the early wizard. As you said yourself. That is why they changed. Also around 94-95 Ibanez stopped using wizards in their low end guitars. Then in 95 stopped making the wizard in the first place because it was too expensive for them. Then later they came out with the "super wizard" It was Ibanez's way of using junk maple while still being stable.

Honestly I wouldn't be happy with it. It's 2mm WIDER. I mean WTF? Who took the wide wizard neck and said "You know, this needs to be 2mm wider.."

The Wizard has been in constant use since it was first created, right up until 2005

The necks are 2mm wider [at the last fret] because there was not enough clearance from the edge of the string to the edge of the fret.

I've played the new ones, on the RG, and they are better than that wacky wizard II they put on the S now. Of course that's just my opinion.

And...

if they wanted to, they could put the original wizard dimesions on it.

They are doing it for the Rg550 20th.

They about killed it. It was "all but killed" My original statement was faulty. I apologize. (<-- see that isn't hard to do)

On the original wizards? Why haven't people had problems with this for decades?
