I am sure it had NOTHING to do with it coming on the guitar in the first place. Heh. People must have been begging for the old neck joint to come back too!

And complaining when a company is screwing something up is a GOOD THING. Complaining got more colors added to the lineup instead of the same old ones.

If you don't want people pointing out where you contradict yourself then stop contradicting yourself.

Evidently there were plenty of problems with the narrow necks. I always thought there was never enough clearance and I just fielded a complaint from a recent buyer of a new RGT220 that he was having problems pulling the strings off the edge [of a 2mm wider neck!].

It's a REISSUE, and as such apeases the complainers wanting those colors.

Um I said that I originally made a faulty statement and then apologized for it Rich. You didn't have to point that out to me. See when I do wrong I attempt to make it correct. Not only that, I apologize in the process. I don't act condescending and talk down to the person.

Sounds like technique problems. I know PRS does this for the same reason, but I believe PRSs string spacing isn't as wide. Atleast it wasn't with the PRSs I have owned.

What does the colors have to do with the neck? BTW Jay from the Ibanez forum has said those were in planning long before the color rants started. But I am sure he doesn't know what he is talking about either.

He said they wanted to make it as CLOSE to the original as possible. He also said while the neck will have original wizard specs, it will be different. I am betting it will get the Prestige 5 piece treatment for obvious reasons.

Why is it I'm always perceived condecending when you're the one acting like the know it all?

The colors are why the reissue, the neck is because it is, with "modern improvements" [lam construction, pretsige treatment, and probably 2mm wider of course]

Yea, Jay also said the pics/video of the JEM20 isn't real

The fifth would be KILLER if it didn't have

• Silly claw inlay.

I am willing to overlook the ZR because it's a KILLER system.

But the Wizard HAS to make a comeback to these guitars.

Why wouldn't Ibanez put it's thinnest neck on it's thinnest guitar?

Atleast on ONE model. I don't think that is much to ask.
Ok, against my better judgement, I can't seem to stop replying to your posts.

What gives? Do you have a personal vendetta against Ibanez? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? People like you are why I almost never read these boards anymore. You post a picture showing Ibanez's current S-series offerings. Whoah, look, colors. After years of complaining about only black finishes, Ibanez is giving us a line with a bunch of great busrt finishes. After years of complaining about the lack of a S7, Ibanez is giving us a S-series 7-string with, lo and behold, a ZR7 trem. Hell, most of my Jackson fan buddies are estatic about the availability of this trem for custom work now.

The graphic you posted, in short, shows a range and breadth of models almost unheard of in recent memory from Ibanez, and you're up in arms because of a couple mm on the neck?

Since you ignored this question in your last thread ranting about these models, explain to me how exactly a neck with MORE wood than a thinner one is "cheaping out." Your arguments about country of origin and wood type are, if I read Rich's response correctly, baseless, so how is more of something cheaper? I mean, it's not like it costs more to program a CNC machine to take a bit extra off, you know?

Ibanez wouldn't discontinue it if they didn't think the thinner neck was hurting revinue, both from warranty issues (I'm not sure where you live, but in New England a neck that thin just isn't that stable - I set my UV up basically weekly in the fall and spring, and even that's thicker than a Wizard) and from customer demand. I'm sorry if you've got your panties up in a bunch that they no longer use your favorite profile, but if it's such a big deal, then just sand it down a touch. Problem solved.

Acting like one knows it all would be pretentious. Condescending is something different entirely. And I assure you, I do not know it all.

No Jay said that certain PICS weren't real. And they weren't! He said he couldn't comment on the video because "he has never seen it"

Again the reissue was in the planning before the colors complaint.

Of course not! I LOVE Ibanez guitars. It saddems me to see a guitar I LOVE so much turn to crap. I am complaining because I like their guitars THAT much. The only electric guitar I OWN at the moment is a Ibanez. I sold my PRS guitars and bought an Ibanez. So lets put that to rest now.

I never ONCE complained about Ibanez colors. I LIKED black. I like the subdued colors and the blues. The S users weren't the ones complaining about colors. Though I DID support those that DID want those colors. Their gripe was legit. I certainly didn't call them whiners or that they got up on the wrong side of the bed...

I LOVED the last 7 cept for the crappy trem. If Ibanez had taken THAT guitar and put a ZR7 on it you'd find me slap happy. But that isn't the case. It too has the WII neck carve.

All of those models are low end to middle end guitars. None of them represent the S guitar as we know it. And no it's not just about a couple of mms. And the WII is a lot different than a couple of MMs.

I ignored it? I must have not seen it cause this is an easy one.

More CRAP wood cost LESS than less GOOD wood. AKA the wizards need to be made out of decent wood to be decently stable consistantly. This wood costs more than crap wood that they usually make necks out of. It is why up until 2005, the S Prestige was the only S that got the wizard. That and they don't make em in Korea.

I am beginning to think you didn't read my posts at all. I care less with were it is made, and more with HOW it is made.

Well they JUST stopped using it not too long ago. And customers ARE complaining.

Panties aren't in a bunch. Projection.

Again it's more than the thickness. The whole SHAPE and curve are different. the neck pocket is differnt. The hardware is all 1" higher off the body. The action isn't as consistant... the list goes on.

It's not the Saber that once was.

It seems like anytime anyone has a valid complaint in here people tend to RUSH in to take up for Ibanez and act like that person is just whining or what have you. This is just fanboyisms.

But you act like you know it all. Read the entire thread.

Condecend, to assume an air of superiority [know it all]. And to be blunt I can guarantee I know more about Ibanez than you do.

I heard he edited his statement about 5 times.

There you go believing everything you read.... So, if you weren't at the meetings in JAPAN, how do you [know it all] know?

Time for my nap.

I am positive you do. I did not say otherwise. Though it's funny considering what defintion was above this statement.

Well he knows better than you do.

You have nothing but ad-hominem silliness here.

BTW Me telling you what HE said isn't me "knowing it all"

It's me knowing what others have told me.
