Ibanez Southern Cross Australian 30 year anniversary

Check this out! These are to celebrate 30 years of Ibanez being distributed in Australia. They're making 60 of them.





According to the store who took this photo,
"The final product will have an Ibanez Prestige logo on the headstock. Essentially the specs are that of an original 1987 RG550 with old school trem and Maple fingerboard and neck shape as well."

30 years? I've got an early 70's Ibanez SG copy that was sold new in Oz well before 1978.

Someones being revisionist with their history (or just haven't got their facts straight.)

Actually Fender lauched a MADE IN BRAZIL Fender Stratocaster on the early 90', with the Southern Cross tag on the headstock.
It was nice on the first run, then turned garbage quickly (low QC), then Fender quicked the lame brazilian factory in the arse.
