Ibanez SZ spotted on Satriani: Live! DVD
Just wondering if fellow Ibanez fans noticed. I was watching my Satriani: Live! DVD last night and couldn't help but notice that during the first few songs (Extremist, Cool #9), it looked like Galen Henson was playing an SZ (looked like a SZ520QM, in an amber burst color).
Then in the fourth song he switched to a grey guitar, which also looked like an SZ, but I'm not 100% sure... was it a SZ720FM?
Kinda cool to see a high level artist like that playing a ~$500-600 guitar. The only reason I happen to notice is I've taken an interest in the SZ series recently and was thinking of picking one up.

EVH played a $130/150 spare parts guitar since about early '70s, if i'm not wrong
i too noticed Henson playing SZs in the Satch Live DVD. he also plays a black RG Prestige with (i think) stock pickups.

Yeh, Think he did. He made it from Boogie Body's parts i think he said in one of the videos i've seen. Now people are spending over $25,000 for a replica, lol.

WOW, Really... I'm surprised no one has mentioned that before.

Galen's been playing SZ's for years. The last time I saw G3, he also had a really sweet Gibson Explorer with a dark gray flame top.

I didn't notice until the tour. I don't remember him with an RG ~ I think I'd remember that.

Re: Ibanez SZ spotted on Satriani: Live! DVD
The SZ models are a hit for Ibanez in my book. I owned the SZ520 for awhile and sold it when I bought the SZ4020 Prestige version. Sweet axe.
Between the SZ series and the RGA, IMHO Ibanez made great choices and should have these lines around for years to come.
