Identify my RG???

Anyone got an idea? The serial starts with F01 which means it was made in 2001 in the Fujigen factory. I've looked through the the 01 catalogues for USA, EU, and Jap and found no exact matches. It has a Lo-TRS trem, the pickups you see here are not stock. AANJ, mirror PG, Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Identify my RG???

I'd say it's a RG450DX at first glance.
Based on the country of manufacture, the Lo Trs, the pickguard/pickups set it should be a 450, and the DX is for the finish type.

Re: Identify my RG???

Thanks, but no sharktooth inlays. Are there 450DX's with dots?

Re: Identify my RG???

how much of whats there IS original? ive got a 1999/2000 RG450DX in metallic silver, and the headstock is the same colour as the body, and its a totally different silver from yours.

i was under the impression that they only released them in silver, black and white?!

and that trem bar and knobs arent stock either!

if you've still got the stock pickups, they're V6Fs, which is the lowest/worst spec pickups for MIJ, which might help to identify it!

This is beyond my knowledge. I guess the DX suffix might be wrong

(can't find perfect match)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

This is the stock bridge pickup, possible identifiers are the small holes between the outer 2 poles on each side. and the flathead screwable poles on one side. The only thing I know about not being stock is the pickups. My headstock is black unlike the 450 in the picture. I got this last year from a local pawn shop.
Thanks!

Edit: Sorry about the fuzzy picture.

Re: Identify my RG???

well the 6 smooth and 6 screw head combo looks right for stock (its what both of mine are!). and yes, the RG450DX from 99/00/01 was a limited run and came without sharktooth inlays!

other stock stuff - hardware should all be chrome, tuners are have either gotoh or MIJ on them, and they are the single screw (slightly down and to the right), just like all other MIJs, rear mounted locking nut, pretty sure theres no foam under the trem.

that 250ltd looks pretty darn close to yours tho!

Re: Identify my RG???

Yeah the tuners say Made in Japan and have a single screw to the right of the rear mount. This is foam under the trem though.

Re: Identify my RG???

I have a 2001 RG450DX that looks identical to yours.
Same silver color with black headstock. Has a MIJ Wizard 2 neck with the dot inlays, same hardware, and MIJ lo-trs trem.
In the neck pocket it says RG450DX and the neck is stamped RG550R #2. On mine the neck is a 3 piece maple neck with no stripe.
I would be willing to bet that yours is a RG450DX....
Remove the neck and check it out.

If I remember right the arm was missing and I bought this from a bucket of parts at the local guitar store. It fit.
