i'm about to setup my new backup guitar,need help

i bougt an exr170 2 days ago,i'll use it as a backup guitar...There was 2 problems while setting it up..

1-)The low E and maybe A strings are buzzing if i pick a little hard,i checked the action and it's normal as the manual says.I don't know why it is buzzing,i thought the new strings can buzz a little but i'm not sure about this ..

2-)The single pickup is high for me,i tried to lover it but it lowers with an angle,when i lower it,the bridge side of the pickup lowers very much and the neck side lowers less than the other side(hovever it's a single pickup).How can i lower the pickup and make it paralell to the body?

Number 1 seems like it needs a truss rod adjustment.

Direct mount single pickup height adjustment is a total pain. If it has some kind of foam underneath it might be that, so it might be a good idea to remove the strings, unscrew it and see.

EXR/EDRs come very poorly set up, I remember I was trying an amp once and I asked to use the EDR170, but something was totally messed up with the trem so I ended up using a Schecter instead.
