Re: Improve edge III

I think no other option but to change the trem, anyway I used edge 3 trem all the the time at the store and they work great! I think you need to really set it up perfectly for it to function perfectly

Just like any other trem you need to stretch the string first before locking it

Re: Improve edge III

How about fitting a Tremol-no? Should improve stability and give a more accurate return to pitch, I think.

The tremolno is a blocking mechanism, either blocking tremolo function altogether or only allowing pitched to be lowered. It does give a more accurate return to pitch, but you cant use the bar to raise pitch in this state.

Re: Improve edge III

Definitely check ibanezrules.com but also

1. Stretch strings in properly
2. Adjust springs so that the angle of the trem is parallel to the body
3. Lock the nut, but not too tight

Re: Improve edge III

Put a bit of chapstick on the knife edges. I would imagine they sell that in mexico. Rich shows you how to do that at www.ibanezrules.com Pretty much you need to completely go over that website with a fine toothed comb, on top of t hat he has some of the best guitar porn ive ever seen.
