Interesting Facts from the IBANEZ - The Inside Story

The book that got shipped with some of the 20ths is actually real good reading for any Ibanez fan. I haven't completed it yet but I have already found out a couple of interesting facts.

Did you know George Benson is responsible for the neck volute? His guitars kept cracking where the headstock meets the neck during travel so Ibanez designed the volute for added protection on his signature model, a design that is still in use today.

The original "speed knobs" with the soft rubber were manufactured from a company that also happened to be in the adult novelty business as well. That explains why the rubber felt so good. True Story.

LOL @ the rubber story. I agree, great book, though I didn't get to that part yet. "Speed knob" in itself sounds slightly rude...

Oddly enough, I read a book starting from the back. Why, I have no idea.

Lol, well I cheated and immediately read the section that documented the years 1987-1988 Then I went back and started from the begining.

Easier to imagine the kick the ass from my wife if I bought one. Wish I had the cash in the bank to get one though. Besides, I have an RG550 BK maple board from...1993 I think?

I'm more concerned what I'll do if JS graphics come out! EEEEK!!!

I'd have no ass and other body parts left if my wife knew I did something like that!

Anyways, aren't you already getting a 20th? If you are, then maybe you should send me the book.
