Is $400 a good deal on an almost mint RG 550?

It's a Japan model...Black just has a few pick marks on the gaurd....no fret issues and is super clean...The guy wants $400.00 for it....

Is that a good deal on a 550?

Offer him $300 and meet him at $350(if he doesn't go for it).

Try haggling him down a bit but make sure you don't miss the guitar. What year is the 550? Is it stock or does it have any modifications done to it? $400 may be a good price.

Yeah great deal, 550s go for like $1000+ here in the UK. Both originals and 20ths

550's can average between $300 and $600 depending on color and fretboard. Bright colored models with maple fretboards will bring the most, so $400 is squarely in there.
