Is it wrong that I want to get one of these?

http://www.ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=GRGM51HP

I played one of these at a local store, and surprisingly, I could get to the upper frets on the 22.2" scale with ease. And behold, it didn't sound that bad for what I'd use it for. I forget how much these are, but one would be perfect for the application of taking to school (I'm 15) and not needing to plug into an amp or anything. Plus, none of those little battery powered amps have as much gain as this does, which is fun to play around with.

I'm crazy huh

Exactly.

A portable or travel electric guitar for $200. Easy and fun!

Yep, they are going for that price on all the major music retailers' websites.

Just google "mikro sonic."

One of them (I think it was MF) has a black one, a blem for $173.

they look pretty cool. is the speaker in the neck position, thats original ive only seen guitars that have a circular speaker in the most awkward places

Exactly. But the only thing turning me off is that $200 is a pretty expensive "hey why not"

Re: Is it wrong that I want to get one of these?

No way man! I helped my daughter buy one so she could start playing although I didn't want the one with the built in speaker (kinda ***). We got it off the bay for $80.00. We got it home and I proceeded to sand it down and paint it a different color (her choice). I'll post pics when the project is done.
For the money, it's a GREAT guitar. Sounds really good, mahogany body. I was shocked at how well it really sounded. About the only thing cheap on it are the tuners. They really suck.
