jem 555 or rg2550e?
i dono which out of these i want to get. the rg2550e has the trem i want on it but the jem 555 has the pickups and stuff i want on it. is it better to go with the cheaper rg2550e and put evos in it or buy the jem 555 and swap the edge III to a OFR?

Buy the RG. It is in any way the much better guitar. The JEM 555 is a cheap RG 370 with Evos in it for a premium price. It has nothing to do with a real JEM other than the pickups.
So buy the RG and put Evos in it, if you like the sound of Evos and you will be satisfied, or save up for a real JEM (7vwh).

2550e
better everything, just stock pickups which you can easily replace with evo's if you wish.

I had a JEM555 before my Universe UV7BK.
The 555
is not a bad guitar
, just overpriced because of Vai name.
The 2550E is a better guitar with a good price, go for it.

RG it is better but I don't want to say the 555 is a joke or a piece of crap because it isn't. It's just too expensive for what it really offers. The 2550 delivers.

Take out the zps bar and you can warble as much as you want. Same exact concept as the ZR.
