What does the "C" in the serial number mean?

Cort. The first letter of the serial numbers of current Ibanez's refer to the factory which they were produced. i.e F=Fujigen

Technically, yes. But Cort produces other brands besides Ibanez.

I'm guessing Schecter, but there are lots more brands (which I unfortunately forgot).
