ive owed both a 555 and a rg550,im tell you now mate go for the rg550,quality made guitar where'as 555 is made out of compressed dog sh it

You are missing the point, he has a LO-TRS, not a LO-TRS II. The LO-TRS is a whole lot better than an Edge III, it's actually a reasonable trem.

It bugs me how people who aren't in the know lump the LO-TRS with the LO-TRS II. If only it wasn't given the same sort of name it might go a little better in the reputation stakes.

I've owned 3 Edge III's. None of them have stayed in tune.

The first, worked reasonably for the first few months, then it became a piece of scrap metal.
The second, never really worked at all.

And the third, did something similar to this . . .



Yes. The trem literally ripped appart.
