Look what I got! a Ibanez Rg550!

!!!

Made In Japan, 1990 F047688

I took the apple sticker off, cleaned her up real nice, and WOW! It reminds me of my old RG550 DX EG that I sadly sold, and man, its a dream to play!!
only 3 very small dings on the ENTIRE body, NO cracks, no fret wear (was this thing even played?) no neck bow and ALL stock parts!

I paid a good price for it , but any suggestions on how much should I list it for? even though it KILLS me to sell it, ?

Why did you buy it? To clean it up an then sell it?

It's amazing how good of condition they are in when they are being sold. So, you had to pay A LOT for it, it KILLS you to sell it, and it's in amazing condition. Why didn't you just say make me an offer at the end? Oh yeah, we can't do that on here. Amazing how people get around that little rule. Just keep checking those PMs...

Re: Look what I got! (stay away 56k)

lol, its been played by a person with dirty hands, but fret wise, its in very good condition.

I know it sounds evil to buy it then re-sell it, I saw a chance to make a profit so that I can finally get new rotors and brake pads for my car, so I took this business chance, don't tell me none of you would of done it if you needed money?

but as I said, it kills me to sell it, but I need my car more....

Nothing wrong with that. It doesn't matter what you paid for it. If someone else wants it and is willing to pay more, I don't see the problem. There's a guy on the Ibanez forum who just got a 550 for £20. If he wants to sell it for £300, good for him.

Part it out on the bay and maximize your profit. You will need to clean it up and see what you can do with that neck also.

Re: Look what I got! (stay away 56k)

I was thinking of parting it out, but is it a gamble of some parts not selling?
I cleaned it up and gave it a some TLC.

Looks amazing man, good job. I wouldn't part it out, I hate it when people do that to an Ibanez!

Re: Look what I got! (stay away 56k)

You did a great job cleaning it up, it looks good.

However. I couldn't help but notice you went back and edited the part where you said you had to pay "a lot" for it. Now all of a sudden, after you mention you bought it intentionally to resell it, you paid a "good price" for it. My question is, why be shady about it? Just list the thing in the classifieds for the amount you want and that's it. But that would mean you wouldn't be able to field offers through PMs, wouldn't it?
If you bought it to intentionally sell it and turn a profit, you pretty obviously know what it's worth, don't you?

I know they sell for more than I paid for. I felt like I was gloating too much.....
