Whatever you end up getting, don't forget how much easier it is to make wide interval spacings (especially tapping)! That's why jason becker was picture with some of those cheesy little mini guitars back in the day.

They're the same as full scale guitar with a capo at the fith fret.

I thought those Ibanez "Mikro"s look kinda cool.

There's nothing more disappointing to a kid who wants a guitar, and gets an acoustic, so resist the temptation....

I will post a review after it gets here. I am currently waiting on another guitar to arrive for me as well. The wait always sux but its even worse now after reading all the horror stories in the UPS truck crashed thread.

Well it arrived today first thing I noticed is that its the wrong color but I will see if he likes it. It's supposed to blue but it looks purple. Anywho... out the box the set up is pretty good I havent plugged it in yet waiting for him to get home from school. The allen head for the truss rod adjustment seems kinda far down in there may be a problem in the future. The tuners are sloppy. But all in all it seems a good guitar for the money. Also it seems the perfect size for my son. He's gonna be so excited !!!!!!!!
