Looking for advice on buying

I've wanted an RG550/770 (or some model in that line)for a long long time. I see some different 570/550/770's on the bay from time to time that I would love to bid on but I'm just not sure wether they are worth it or if they are the real thing. I know nothing about Ibanez guitars. How do I know whether I'm buying a legit Ibanez that's worth the money?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I guess it just takes a little bit of an eye, and some experience. For starters it really helps to look at the trem, pickups, headstock, tuners, knobs, cavity controls, etc. to get an idea as to whether it really has the genuine parts on it.

Another good thing to do would be to post a pic of it here, and you'll definitely get the legit/not-legit responses.

Here's three I'm trying to chose from. All three are on the bay.

Ibanez 91 RG560: 200388700817

Ibanez 91 RG570: 110433275605

Ibanez 1987-89 RG550: 110438813074

If you knowlegable Ibanez people could take a look, Id aprecciate it.

Those all look legit. There's definitely a little something added to the tick mark on the Ibanez logo on the 570, but it seems to be in pretty good condition. As a matter of fact, I have that exact same guitar in that exact same color, and it is a great guitar!

If you don't mind about the cosmetic blems too much, and can get along with a H-S-S guitar, the 560 may be your best deal.

I realy like them all but I especially like the 570 and the 550. But I would certainly be more then happy with the 560.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by tick mark and HSS guitar? I'm an electric guitar noob and have been playing for quite awhile on acoustic mostly.

Actually, the check mark underneath the "Ibanez" words on the headstock of the 570.

If I were you, I would go for the 570 and do a pickup swap. It's a really great guitar.

Truthfully, I'm actually surprised none of the other much more knowledgeable Ibanez gurus haven't chimed in!

That one doesn't look too bad, and if I'm not mistaken, the seller may also be a member here.

Keep looking, and feel free to keep asking any questions you may have.
