I would like to see what everyone thinks of this. I really want a RG550, but is this legit or ??

Yea it looks real to moi. I have a 89 DY and they rock. btw you should edit your post cause the smiley the end is an 8 but the system see it as you making a smiley.

Looks legit to me, although the colour scheme in those pics is making me nauseous...

I'd want some pics of the back of the neck, because little dents where the thumb touches really bug me. Maybe ask for the serial number too, it should begin with F7 if it's an '87 model.

I wonder if it gets feedback problems with no shielding in on the back of the pickguard in the control cavity. Mind, you could always change the pickguard, they aren't expensive.

Swap out the 'guard for a black one, some 'real' neon knobs and it would look better. Not my cup of tea though.

It's the real deal. I will say that it wouldn't shock me if the guy selling it has set the reserve above $750.00. If so I would suggest walking away. Unless, of course, you're dead-set on it and have the money to blow. It's just my opinion but no 550 is worth more than five or six hundred, regardless of pickup mods and such. Not to mention the fact that this guy's idea of color coordination is a bit, um, suspect.

Keep holding out. A good one will turn up. Maybe a 90's DY with the AANJ or something.
