Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez

S guitars have Wizard necks like on the RGs, except that they only have 22 frets. They are actually quite comfortable. I wish they put the same necks on the SA series because those guitars look and sound great but the necks feel kind of like I'm holding a baseball bat.

I like it because it is white with black binding. White IMO is the best finish. However, I still dont like the inlay. Nice guitar though.

I actually think that its disgustingly cool!! lol, I really like it actually. Maybe its because "seven" is my favourite number. Either way - I think its awesome!

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez

i think the seven is for the only number of frets that slipknot uses.
seriously though, what bridge is that? it appears to not have the hole for the trem arm. (sorry if that was answered).

Then you never heard their last album! (subliminal verses)
Both Mick Thompson and Jim Root can shred like a good'un. Mick used to be a guitar teacher, and used to teach all of that stuff. He idolises people like Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen. He is a great lead player he really is! People dont realise how technically sound his playing is.

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez

yeah, i heard some of their new stuff. but by the time i heard it, the "fad" kinda died down for me. it's a shame they didn't do that kind of stuff earlier on. once you're playing shows for as many people as them, you have the right to show off a bit, right? sorry if my comment offended any Slipknot fans.

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez

If you like the looks of the white guitar, check your local Guitar Center. They have a few exclusive fixed bridge models that are pretty comparable, visually anyway; two are solid finishes (black with white binding, and white with balck binding), and two are quilt tops (trans red and trans black). They also have pickups "Designed by EMG".

For under $300 (solid finish), they might be worth looking at.

Cheers,
Butch
