Huh? Have you even played an FX Edge? Obviously not. Though I've only played an RGA for about 30 minutes (and it does stay in tune quite well) I own a JS2000 ( FX Edge), an SC420 (Shortstop II) and an RG421 (Gotoh stratstyle hardtail) and the JS2000 stays in tune as well or better than any of the others.

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez
a rgt42 style in red or black with 81/60's and reverse headstand would be more feasable than an £800 one, and ibanez are more clever than to disguise INFS in an emg like casing which bc rich did with micks signature and kerry kings signature too

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez
hey this might start WW whatever here but do you think that ibanez might release a Mick signature axe? I mean like many have posted here Ibanez missed the boat with the K7 and a couple of other models, while I still think Ibanez are the best bang for the bucks...do you think if there is a signature Mick-7 realeased that they'd keep in under $900 USD ?

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez
THE S520EX -- HAHA i never saw tht, not ibanez have just pissed me off.
The rgt42 is a good guitar though, but the infs are a let down.

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez
Guitar Center apparently has some
Ibanez guitars
now with with flame tops on basswood and EMG pickups. From what I've heard, they are very nice guitars and they are selling for a very good price. To me, this seems like a MUCH better idea than trying to release a Mick Signature model (as well as LOT cheaper). Those guitars will FLY out of Guitar Center because the regular series stuff is what pushes the most units.

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez
The necks on those things aren't very nice. the pickups sound pretty good though, good clarity and punch behind them

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez
don't know why they put anything about mick thomson in the description, as he hasn't ever played an s-series and that's not his sig guitar so

Re: Mick from Slipknot + new Ibanez
That guitar has nothing to do with him whatsoever. That most defenitely is not his signature model. Thats just an S series that was released last year/earlier this year (I think). When a signature model does come out, I will be one of the first in the queue believe me. Thats IF they release a sig model.

Hello all, I am new here.
I don't know if any of you have noticed, but Ibanez Japan has released 6 string and seven string RG models with emgs
http://www.ibanez.co.jp/japan/index.html
just click on product>electric guitars>rg
they're the extreme models.
