my bsb 550 lefty project

heres some links to pictures of my bsb......

i took a lefty 550 body....stripped it....stained it ..burned it with a heat gun.....then clear coated it......

i bought the neck used off ****.........it had more wear than i really wanted...plus some cracks......

but it was professionally repaired and the frets leveled and polished........from Eric thanks....

but again it had alot of wear on it.....so i decided to burn it too........i think it turned out looking nice...

i had jennies pickguards to make me the pickguard......nice job he does thanks...........

pickguard paradise is making the rear covers and truss covers just waiting on them to arrive

it has a paf joe in the neck.......and a fred in the bridge
and all the wiring just like the js1000.....

im waiting on ibanez decal to arrive too so i can finish the neck

it will have some chrome parts some black

let me know what you guys think

Re: my bsb 550 lefty project

hi you mean the neck?........two reasons........one it help to blend in the cracks which although they been repaired there still visible and it bothered me............two...the neck has years of use on it...dirty stains on every inch of fret board.....beyond cleaning.. as i tryed..

adding the burn marks gives it charactor and with the poly clear coat they show up nicely

Kenny - left handed guitars always look weird to me too - it isn't natural!

Nice job there.

Seems like he did the same trick as Steve did on Green Meanie.
