I asume the Pretige is in mint condition, but the Orange RG550 does look also prety prestine! I can't see any form of rust on the bridge (from the picture), so I'd be torn between those two.

There's a couple of plus on the Prestige, but the price rises accordingly and, as I already said, the Orange is pure sex!

You can get rid of the stickers and glue with Goo-B-Gone, or any lighter fluid. I don't know if it can damage the finish though. But that is what is used on a car paint. Would someone share his knowledge on this?

Orange 550 if you can live with the faded paint.

The "Renault" and "ELF" are a part of the paint job.......it's a custom aftermarket job. The only way to get rid of them is to strip all the clear off...probably the basecoat as well. I'd leave it as/is.......it's cool as hell IMO.

BTW....at $500 the orange one is a no brainer for me. It would already be in my home.......

whoa...looks like the consensus is with the orange RG. I totally agree, its 200 cheaper than the prestige but then I was able to test drive the Prestige (which plays brilliantly) but not the orange RG.

Aftermarket paint job? I've seen it somewhere before but couldn't remember it..but gets me thinking, why would anyone wants a Renault Elf paintjob (or stickers?)...fan of motorsport? oil?

I'm going with the orange RG. Figure I could save some dosh and use the extra money to upgrade the Edge trem, block upgrade/trem stopper etc. maybe?

This would be the "showcase" guitar in my collection. Get a good price, but don't negotiate your way out of it!!!

Is that an Ibanez case?? I've never seen one like it.

No need to upgrade the Edge, its an excellent bridge. The sustain block, yes, get a nice brass unit, but the Edge is what you want to keep in the guitar.

ok..just got a price, add shipping from Japan (wayy to much) the total cost is around USD600. So thats around only 100 less than the RG1570 which I can pick it up at my local music store.

But..I'm going for it!
