Cool! I've always wanted one of those. Simple PU configuration, maple fretboard.

Thats a really cool axe, I wanted to put in a bid or two myself. Whats with that bizarre bridge humbucker? It's got one blade and a set of pole pieces? Either way it's a kick ass axe! Congrats!

It's an American designed Ibanez pup, HB2, very hot, and nice harmonics!! I like it!! one of the coils in the neck pup in my red one went out and I can't seem to track another one down. So when I saw this auction for a blue 565 I went for it. Now I can put dimarzios in the red one and I still have the original tones with the blue one!!!

Nope...It's a low pro, and since it was my first time with a floating trem, I'm reeeaaalllyyy spoiled!!! I have a fender Mustang, '65, and a couple of Rogues with tems and I can't use the trems in them. I don't even know where the bars are for the rogues!!!
If you go to the catalogue section, you can find the specs for the RG565's in the 1992 RG cats. That's how I found out what I had. Also I checked out the pictures in the tech section and learned about the modified lock screw placement. I love the tech section here!!! I learned so much from that after I got my first Ibbie, that I realized if I were going to choose a new axe I would want exactly the features I got when I was to ignorant to know it!!!

Whatever, I'm just going by the ebay pic you linked and the trem in those photos, the blue RG, is no question a regular Edge.

Did some more research, The low pro was designed in 91, and introduced on UV's and Jems, but prolly didn't come on RG's 'till later. My Current 565 is a 91 model according to the serial # and I got it with a lo pro on it, it could have been swapped by the previous owner, or it could have been made later in the year to be sold in '92 who Knows? Since the only catalogue I have been able to find the 565 in was the '92 catalogue I made an incorrect assumption, thinking they all came with lo pro's since my '91 has a low pro. both of the 565's I pictured appear to have the edge and there is no question about the blue one. Thank you RG for pointing this out. I learned to look more closely cause they look a lot alike if you're not payin attention!! Any way they are completely swappable so I'm still happy!!

I look real close at them now, I used to have a hard time telling when I first got into Ibanez. I tried an Edge but my first Edge was a LoPro like you so I prefer them now. You can always sell it and get a LoPro.

Got the guitar on Thursday, and , like my first one, found a few previous owner related, but easily fixable probs. First I tuned it to pitch and as I did I watched as the edge rose higher and higher, and yet higher still, till I only have about an inch betweem the trem bar and the body to drop notes. I could yank 'em up through the rafters till the strings break but can't dive very far. Well no prob I already know how to fix this prob. plugged her in to play her and realized she only has a three way switch unlike my other which has a five way. Oh well.... I also noticed that the micro tuner for the high E string was tapped out which imediately caused me to look up at the nut locks which were as I suspected turned the wrong way. This was something I learned from my first one. I kept loosening the locks tuning the guitar tightening them back up and the high E string would go out of tune in a very short time and I would end up with the micro tuner bottomed out. the underside of the locking blocks is contoured to match the shape of the nut underneath. turn the block the wrong way and you create a hole for the string to slide through, especially the high E string, thus effectively rendering the locking system useless!!!lol!!! any way all easy to fix!! Now for the good news, The feel of this one is even better than my first one, as in the neck and finger board just invite you to ride her like the wind!! I kicked in the neck pup and to my surprize I got just as much output from it as I did from the bridge, but with richer and deeper lows. My first one the neck pup was about 20% quieter 'till it went out all together.
Well she's all torn apart right now as I decided to simultaneously clean her up and make all nessasary setup adjustments. It cleaned up quite nice and I actually like the color. It's a deeper more metalic looking blue than in the pics...
