My new RG321MH

I'm a long time Ibanez player. I just bought my 5th Ibanez. I previously played the RG 565, I had 2, one blue and one red. Wish I have NEVER sold them. I had a S540, RG550, JEM555, and my new beauty is the RG321MH. I've always wanted a natural wood finish, and this guitar is it! I just had the frets dressed, and threw in Duncans. I have a Screamin' Demon in the bridge and a Pearly Gates in the neck. Now I'm on the search for an amp.

After I graduated college I thought I was done with guitars, but the bug bit me again. Now I can't get enough! The chops are a little rusty, but atleast the passion is still there. I only look forward to getting better than I was before.

I'm looking for a new amp, preferably a Marshall JCM 50. Although I love old valvestate Ampegs. Any amp suggestions for a warm overdriven sound? I've always liked the tones of George Lynch, Nuno Bettencourt. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Re: My new RG321MH

I can only hear how it sounds in my head. I have no amp yet. But tomorrow I'm picking up an Ampeg VH140C combo for $300. I was bidding on ****, but the reserve was never met. I told the guy I'd make an offer since he lives close to me. I'm looking forward to hearing that Demon sing tomorrow!!

Nice, I want one too. And I like the "INF" pickups so if I can find one with those in it I'll be happy.

Re: My new RG321MH

I'm not familiar with the other model numbers for the 321. Some have black finish, some have the dark blue finish. Mine is the natural mahogany. Bill Foley, the guy who wrote "Build Your Own Electric Guitar", an ad for the book is seen in just about every guitar mag. Anyway, he owns German Village Music Haus here in Columbus, Ohio. He does really good work, and it world renowned for his abilities. He's kind of buddy buddy with Ted Nugent. Anyway, I had him dress up the frets and throw in the Duncans.

I get my Ampeg tomorrow, and it can't come soon enough! I thought I wanted to go with my old rig: Marshall 4x12 cab and a Fender M-80 head. I went ahead and bought the head on **** for like $175, but I changed my mind. I don't really need a cabinet as I have very little space. I just need something that sounds good, is durable and lasts longer than dirt. I've red very good reviews on the amp I'm getting.

Re: My new RG321MH

Hey tone how is the neck quality on those RG321's? Are they of decent quality, i was looking at getting one, because they are so cheap now, but i once had a RG 320, and a 270 a long time ago, before i knew better about the trems, and i thought the wizard II necks werent that good, HOW IS THE ACTION too? i know you said you got the frets dressed, but did that help it out? how does it play? talk to me.
