My new/used s540....pics!

Sup. Here is my new/used s540. Primo condition. I have not yet cleaned her up. Some lint here and there. Anyways I am pretty sure this is an s540ltd (correct me if I am wrong)...this is my first s-series so I am not a guru. I know some will knock the fact that it is black but I don't mind.






Enjoy the pics. I can't wait to get her cleaned up, oiled up, and strung with some new strings. The biggest scratch is what the camera brought out on pic 3 that looks like 5 line rub (the flash really brings it out and its barely noticable in pic4...I could probably polish it out). Oh yeah and that little sqiggle on the last pic is just reflection.

Yeah it has an AANJ.

I read somewhere on here that they didn't make the s540 with AANJ until 93' and judging by the pickups it looks like they changed to Quantum pickups in 94' so I guess what I have here is a 93'?

Just look at the serial on the back of the headstock. FXXXXXX.....the first 2 numbers after the "F" is the year. Since it's ANNJ, it's probably a 93.

Ok...so what does F23XXXX mean (1923...hehe)? Is it a really good fake? I did notice that the serial number does not have the "CE" or "Japan" like my DBK does...I didn't think too much of it becuase I couldn't imagine it being a fake or copy as good as it looks (hardware and all).

Now I am a little worried.

i own a very similar guitar -- '95 S540LTD in black...
i put in a set of RED pickups -- looks evil now
