My RG Project - TONS of pics, maybe not 56K friendly.

I recently picked up an RG450 from a fellow Jemsite'r. I stripped it to bare wood, refinished it, re-wired it, repaired a prety serious body crack that was causeing the trem posts to lean forward, installed a custom pickguard, and some new pickups. I'm waiting for black strat style knobs, a black switch tip, and a trem arm. This guitar plays and sounds SOOOOO good. I'm really happy with it.

This is what it looked like when I got it.

How much did it cost overall? I'm thinking about modifying my 550....

Thanks guys.

sugizo_esp - The color is Ivory. Just a little off white.

The cost was basicly the RG I bought from Jemsite for $160.00 plus about $20.00 worth of paint and clear, some sandpaper, polyurethane glue $5.00, pickguard was only $20.00 and the pickups I got for $35.00. So about $250.00 total.

Hey Rotti, nice job on the guitar. That clear coat looks like a pro job. What did youo use for the clear and where did you get it. chef21

Thanks Chef, It's just department store laquer. There are several brands that all work well. It's all in the prep work, proper sanding and using compatible products.

Looks good. Nothing beats white with a maple fretboard IMO.
