My RG550 Project is Complete

Well, my latest endevor into DIY customizing has yeilded a pretty cool looking guitar. I started out with a Road Flare Red body (The pics make it look orange, but it's not) that is in excellent condition and went from there. Most of the parts I had laying around. It has a Tone Zone - HS3 - Air Norton configuration and a Jem mirrored pickguard.
And, YES, those are Blue DiMarzio knobs you see .

Road Flare Red RG - Close Up

Road Flare Red RG

The neck was just adjusted, so it has to sit for a while before the next adjustment and setup. But it doesn't play bad as-is.

Man! *The only thing that would make that better would be getting a Monkey Grip and Lion's Claw put in, but maybe that was something to think about before getting such a nice finish. *:loco: lol *Nice though!

(Man, I need money...I'M NEVER GONNA GET A DECENT GUITAR!!! *)

Just to set the record strait...I didn't paint or have the body painted. I bought it just as it is...and it came in excellent+++ condition. *The rest of the parts I had laying around the house.

BTW...it may be for sale soon...but I haven't decided yet.

Seanp,
I'm not currently with any band...I would love to form an 80's metal cover band and do bar gigs on the weekends though.

We're jealous. * Very cool axe!
No need for a "monkey grip" (.....how does a monkey grip, anyway?)

Great colors. Ibanez take note: bring back those WAY COOL colors like Road Flare Red & Violet Pearl!!!!!

Nope...I bought the body off **** and the neck came from BammBamm...I think. It now has a rather nise rosewood neck on it that came free with a Jem body I purchased some time ago...
