My RG750 keeps changing :)

OK so heres the deal, my 91 750 is my pride and joy. fo a while i was running the tone zone bridge stock middle and neck. then i got an Evo bridge in a trade. So TZ neck Evo bridge....Dellima...muddyness..good for shredding but too muddy. so i re-wired the TZ parallel. I lose my auto coil tapping but now its a bit more shimery. Likeable right??? WRONG...I think the EVO is lifeless. so now i got someone that wants to trade me an EMG85 for it. Has anyone crossed the passive/active barrier. CAN you run both?

PS because i love the super shred sound of series TZ im gonna add a switch so i can get bot....still no coil tapping though

It is possible to have actives and passives together in one guitar, but it's a little complicated.

You need to run seperate volume (and tone if you want them) pots. 25K for the EMG, and 250 or 500k for the passives.

Or you can use all 25k pots and run a PA-2 preamp on the passive pickup.
