My whammy in edge on my 570 is creaking! help!

This is very odd... Ever since i did the nail polish trick, my tremolo makes like a ratchet turning creak when i grab the trem?

Anybody know why? Could it be the bushings???

It may be bushings. I had one that squeaked on a Floral. New bushings worked for me. At the same time I replaced the bushings, I also tightened the trem shaft. I little sewing maching oil helps on all the areas that have metal to metal contact. Especially if you are one of them "Corrosive Sweater" sort of people.
