My ZR trem BROKE! Pic inside

Check this out. The thing that goes through the trem where you insert the bar broke! This happened a while ago, and I don't know if I have warranty for it since some guy imported it to me...

Has this happened to anyone else?

That’s sick!! Better bring it back to your dealer’s ASAP for an exchange/ repair. I’m sure it’s under warranty…

Looks very replaceable to me.

Contact an Ibanez dealer in your area and ask them to order you the parts.

The thing is that the main importer in Norway doesn't take in the S1620, so I had to order it through a guy that imports ibanez from Belgium. So he claims that the warranty is only valid in Belgium...
He's going to see what he can do tho.
Hope it works out.

I've been to a store and asked. They said they would help me out if the warranty didn't cover it.

But I have looked at the parts listings on the ibanez page, and I can't find this part.

No, That's not it.
That's the bolt that fixes the trem to the body...
But thanks anyway

Oh. It looks like the broken bit you've photographed is made up of 2ZR2-B, 2ZR2-4 and a few other bits. Hmm. Maybe Rich can help you out with info.

You can see the 2ZR2-B with a 2ZR2-B1 on top holding down a 2ZR2-WS on the pic.

So it's not that...

Kind of weird don't you think?

There is a lot of pressure on this part too. At least with the stopbar on. Those 4 spring divebombs are pretty heavy...

Hi,FBD.
If you live in US,please ask the shop guy to repair it in Hoshino USA.
Hoshino USA knows the repair method and has parts.
They will repair it quickly!

Thanks,

I live in Norway, so that can be difficult.

Is it a huge operation? Will I be able to fix it myself if I get the parts?

Thanks!

Oh,Norway!
It's too far from USA.
OK, there is a littile bit technique to fix the parts.you need something like the loctite 271,the web is here. http://www.loctite.com/int_henkel/loctite/entry.cfm

The loctite 271(is a kind of screw-protection?) is red fluid and makes strong locking.

You must put the loctite 271 to the screw part of Hexa-nut(metal) and Nylon Nut(black nylon).
( but don't put it to the screw part for bar of Nylon nut!!)

And tighten them.(but if you tighten with too strong force,it might break)

Thanks!

I think I have a bottle of Loctite somewhere actually!

But first I need to get the parts, then I'll figure out if I will do it myself or have someone pro. do it.

Thanks for the help!!
