NAME THAT IBANEZ....

Played this one today at sam ash. tag said used Custom MIJ Ibanez. What model is this?

S540 and it wasn't custom made. That inlay was a gimmick they used. It is just a normal production model. Good guitars.

I did a brief look through the catalogs and while I found that config I didn't find a pic of your color. It is somewhere in the early 90's catalogs.

Yeah I thought about that but the guitar has been online for weeks at that price. I tried to see if they'd come down and they would not. It's always a crap shoot with GC stuff, thank god for the 30-day MBG. I went through three guitars with them before finding an S that was a keeper.

Still, a jewel blue with flamey top, I don't think I've ever seen another like that. Only in green and brown. Personally, the way most play, they're $600 guitars. Very much superior to the newer Indonesian models (and I own one of those).

I think it's a S540LTD. I've seen these on CL averaging around $375. $400 would definitely be the max offer IMO.

I do believe GC owns all online guitar stores, and they share the same stock, used and new.

so wherever you buy from, it all comes from GC.
