Ibanez can and will release whatever the hell they want. Nobody is obligated to like it, and Ibanez already do a damned ****ing fine job of trying to please everyone without compromising too much.
no reason to act arrogant like that. this is a mature website for musicians who have interest in ibanez and anything to do with them. his statement is completely acceptable here.

Why are you so upset ?

Do you need a tampon ?

When the hell did I ever say I was talking for everyone ? I was talking for myself, which is how things work in a forum.
We get assigned usernames, see that name on the left hand side ? It represents me and my opinions. Not the opinions of everyone else

Go have a whinge to someone who gives a sh_t cause my CARE FACTOR IS ZERO about you or what you think.

I can ask for whatever I like, Im free to want what I want... and I want a neon J Custom. Dont like it ? go jump in the lake !!

Must be a heightened-sensitivity virus going around the board this year.

Tempers are obvioulsy rising so people in this thread need to calm down if they wish to continue posting in this thread. Or on the site at all.

Guitarbizarre - Try to post in a less inflamatory style.

IbanezFreak777 - If you're going out of your way to specifically annoy someone else and then stating that, you need to rethink your posting style.

Maybe some of you gigging guys can answer this.

My thought is that the Gio line is for beginners, active musicians (those of you not in your bedrooms like me) would not necessarily be buying Gio's for the stage, you would want a higher quality guitar like a Prestige or maybe even a Premium.

My question is: Isn't Ibanez building Prestige guitars in the colors that professional guitarists would want to be seen on stage with? Unless you are in a 80's hair metal band, pink and flourescent won't go over too well.

So the bright colors on the Gio's make sense because bright and flashy is cool to a 10 year old but not when your a professional that has to look the part, you certainly wouldn't go into audition with a pink guitar.

Just a thought.

Re: NAMM 2012

Why would you want to shut people up?
I like to read opinions, that's why I've registered this forum!

Anyway I totally understand satchmo post, and the question makes sense to me.
But I have another question:
Who is buying Ibanez Prestige guitars? Stage players? Collectors? Bedroom Players? 80s fans?
I don't have the answer, but I feel like a mix of all that. I would play a bright color Ibanez even if my bandmates would probably hate me for that.

I dont need to rethink anything... If someone is flamming me for having an opinion I have the right to respond in anyway I feel, and I dont think im breaking any rules with my posts...

the text below is taken from the forum rules.

Almost every "opinion" is welcome. Exchanging ideas and opinions in a respectful way is what makes jemsiteforum stand out. Notable exceptions would be commentary such as this (these are JUST A FEW EXAMPLES):

Messages that are disrespectful to other members

PROHIBITED TYPE OF BEHAVIOUR/DECORUM:

Insensitivity to other members
Personal attacks or slanderous accusations of other members, moderators, companies or people.

You have a lot to offer the site, many folks here would recognise that, but your posting style, by deliberately trying to annoy someone else, goes against all of the points I've highlighted above. Consequently, if you do wish to continue to post in this thread and on ths forum then you do need to rethink your posting style.

I dont believe I broke those rules you state.....

My response was proportionate to the flamming I got for wanting a neon J Custom...

Your response was inappropriate. GuitarBizarre's post was also inappropriate.

That's why I requested that both of you calm down. The fact that you stated that you deliberately set out to antagonize another member means that your posts were out of line.

So.

Rethink your posting style.

Re: NAMM 2012

The trick is to sit back, take a deep breath and realise that you're bickering about people's opinions about guitars. There are better battles to fight...
