Maybe some of you gigging guys can answer this.

My thought is that the Gio line is for beginners, active musicians (those of you not in your bedrooms like me) would not necessarily be buying Gio's for the stage, you would want a higher quality guitar like a Prestige or maybe even a Premium.

My question is: Isn't Ibanez building Prestige guitars in the colors that professional guitarists would want to be seen on stage with? Unless you are in a 80's hair metal band, pink and flourescent won't go over too well.

So the bright colors on the Gio's make sense because bright and flashy is cool to a 10 year old but not when your a professional that has to look the part, you certainly wouldn't go into audition with a pink guitar.

Just a thought.

Anyway I totally understand satchmo post, and the question makes sense to me.
But I have another question:
Who is buying Ibanez Prestige guitars? Stage players? Collectors? Bedroom Players? 80s fans?
I don't have the answer, but I feel like a mix of all that. I would play a bright color Ibanez even if my bandmates would probably hate me for that.
